EJU Subjects, Examination Language & Timetable
According to the requirements of the university they want to enter and the course of study they want to pursue, the examinees select the subject tests that they will take from the following table.
Examinees may not choose to take both the Science test and the Japan and the World test.

Mathematics | Measurement of the basic academic skills required in mathematics (Course1, Course2) for studying at Japanese universities. | 80 minutes | 0 – 200 |
Examination language | |
The questions are available in Japanese or English. (The Japanese as a Foreign Language subject is available in Japanese only.) | |
When applying to take the examination, applicants need to specify their language of choice, in accordance with the requirements of the university that they wish to enter. |

In the science area, according to the requirements of the university they want to enter and the course of study they want to pursue, examinees have to select two subjects from physics, chemistry and biology, on the examination day, in accordance with the requirements of the university that they wish to enter. | |
Mathematics | |
In the mathematics area, according to the requirements of the university they want to enter and the course of study they want to pursue, examinees have to select either of Course 1 or Course 2 on the examination day, in accordance with the requirements of the university that they wish to enter.
